I have been fortunate to collaborate with a variety of clients, including Lubbock’s University Medical Center, the University Medical Center Foundation, TRUNO (formerly Cash Register Services), Visit Lubbock, and the Lubbock Independent School District. My creative repertoire includes marketing materials (including fundraising letters, web copy, and print copy), short-form and long-form journalism, speech writing, and blogging.

I worked closely with the communications team at University Medical Center (UMC) in Lubbock, Texas to produce content for a variety of sources. My work included:
- a suite of pages for the hospital’s breastfeeding site
- internal email and web communication that informed and celebrated employees
- fundraising and appreciation letters for the hospital’s 501 (c)(3) foundation
Below, I’ve provided a page from the breastfeeding site and an article written for Physician’s Notes, a newsletter for UMC doctors.
Business Promotional Material
In projects for businesses local and national, I’ve created internal communications for employees, as well as engaging short form copy for the web. You can a sense of the latter in the following samples from an online restaurant directory I completed for Visit Lubbock.
Nonprofits and Schools
I’ve worked with nonprofit organizations to create informational and promotional material for print, web, and speech. Below are posters I created for Second Baptist Church (Lubbock, Texas). The materials were part of a successful proposal to the congregation to construct a columbarium.
Fashion and Style
As a freelance contributor to Lubbock Magazine, I often wrote copy to describe current trends. This work often included interviews with local tastemakers, as well as attending photo shoots to better describe textural and visual elements. Peruse the excerpts below for a taste of my style work.
