A graduate of Duke University, I have experience creating compelling copy for businesses, media outlets, and nonprofits.
Before becoming a freelance writer, I was an award-winning reporter for the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal and a staff writer for Lubbock Magazine, covering a range of topics, including faith, style, local government, health, higher education, and public safety.
Since transitioning to freelance writing in the fall of 2012, I have been fortunate to work with diverse clients, including Lubbock’s University Medical Center, the University Medical Center Foundation, Visit Lubbock, and the Lubbock Independent School District. My creative repertoire includes marketing materials (including fundraising letters, web copy, and print copy), short-form and long-form journalism, speech writing, and blogging. No matter the project, I have a penchant for producing inspired copy.
